Pine River Area Middle and High Schools continue in a HOLD status as an investigation continues. Students and staff are safe, being served lunch and have access to restroom facilities. We anticipate the Hold will continue while Police authorities continue their investigation. We will continue to provide more updates as available.

Out of an abundance of caution, Pine River Area Schools has implemented a HOLD at the middle and high school facilities at approximately 11:35 a.m. today in order to investigate a statement that was found written in the school. HOLD means that students and staff will stay in their classrooms and continue business as usual. Police authorities are onsite and the investigation is ongoing. There is no immediate threat and school will continue as usual. During a Hold, students, staff and parents are not allowed in or out of the building. We will continue to update our school community and families as information becomes available. Thank you for your patience.
Superintendent Michelle Gill

HS basketball games will be played as scheduled. This includes the senior night ceremony prior to the varsity tip-off.

For the safety of our students, to allow our roads to be cleared of snow drifts and windchills in excess of 20 degrees below zero tomorrow, Pine River Area Schools will be closed Tuesday, February 18th. See you Wednesday!

The NHS-sponsored blood drive at the HS was successful today! Thanks to all the staff, students, and community members who donated, all the student volunteers, and to Versiti for helping the day go smoothly. We are looking forward to the next blood drive on April 3rd and helping even more!
