New Website and App
We have launched our new website and app recently. The website is the same address as before, www.pineriver.org. You are also able to download our new app. There is a link on the website that will take you to either the App Store or Google Play. With the new app, you can access announcements, cafeteria menus, news updates, and even emergency notifications. Holiday Spirit Days
We will have spirit days next week, so please send your child(ren) dressed for the appropriate day:
Monday: Candy Cane Day- Wear red and white or fun stripes
Tuesday: Deck the Halls- Get decked out in your hippest holiday shirt/sweater
Wednesday: Baby It’s Cold Outside- Wear blue and white and/or a holiday hat, antlers, etc.
Thursday: We Wish You a Merry Christmas- Wear your favorite flannel
Friday: Crazy socks and Christmas attire day
Santa’s Secret Shop
Santa’s Secret Shop will be held Monday, December 16th and Tuesday, December 17th. We are having a store-like setting with items for children to purchase. All items will be priced at just $1 and will be gift wrapped for students. Each classroom has a scheduled time slot for children to secretly shop for gifts to give their families and friends. Cash or checks (made payable to PRPTG) will be accepted. We are asking for volunteers and also donations of gift bags and/or wrapping paper. We will also need lots of scotch tape.
Christmas Night Out
The Leadership class will host Christmas Night Out on Wednesday, December 18th from 5:30-7:00 p.m.at the high school. Kids will write letters to Santa, decorate cookies, have a paper snowball fight, and decorate ornaments. Pizza will be provided. The cost of admission is $5 or a toy donation. You have to have a permission slip filled out, signed, and turned in, in order for your child to attend.
Pine River Youth Wrestling Clinic
All 3rd -5th students are invited to come on Monday, December 16th. This clinic will be held from 6-7 p.m. in the HS wrestling room. Youth wrestling season will begin immediately after Christmas break.
Buck Hut
The Pine River Booster Club will open the Buck Hut on Saturday, December 14th from 9:00 a.m. -11:00 a.m. for anyone who would like to purchase any Pine River apparel for Christmas or any other occasion. The Buck Hut is located in front of the press box near the football field.
Luther Library
There will be a craft show and library book sale starting at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 14th. Santa will be there from 1-3 p.m. for pictures. One free sheet of pictures will be given to each family. There will also be simple crafts for the kids to do, as well as take home book bags. There will also be a box raffle from 10:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Joy Club
There will be No Joy Club next Wednesday, December 18th. Joy Club will resume on Wednesday, January 8th and will continue through May.
