SENIOR TIMELINE
Fall
September
Create a list of colleges you are interested in.
Request letters of recommendation for scholarships, college apps, etc.
Visit prospective colleges if possible
Register for retakes of the SAT or the ACT
Begin filling out college applications before the deadlines arrive (usually by the end of October)
Start working on your college application essay
Use the FAFSA4Caster at https://fafsa.ed.gov/ to find out more about what you can expect for a financial aid package

Apply to colleges
Request your transcripts sent to colleges via Parchment
Fill out the FAFSA (Free Application For Student Aid)
Apply for scholarships with early deadlines
Attend College Night at Cadillac High School- Date TBA
Attend Financial Aid Work Night in October at PRHS. Date TBA
Late Fall/Early Winter
November & December
Keep your grades up! Colleges will get your final transcript!
Continue to apply for scholarships
Winter
January & February
Schedule your college interviews (if necessary) to finish up the admission process
Continue to apply for scholarships
Order your cap and gown for graduation
Spring
March, April, & May
Once you receive responses from your colleges, make your final decision
Notify any schools you won’t be attending
Verify your financial aid before you make any college budget decisions
Senior Exams. These still count!
Schedule, plan, and Invite people to your open house if you are having one. Make sure adults get a personalized invitation if you want to improve the likelihood they will attend.
Attend Senior Awards Ceremony (date yet to be determined). Dress up!
Pay your housing deposit to secure your place (if staying on campus)
Attend commencement practice

Request your final transcripts for your school of choice when they become available in early June.
Those who request transcripts through Parchment after June 30th will be charged a fee.
Attend your college’s summer orientation
Begin preparing for your college coursework (read up on the subjects)
