Pine River High School Hall of Fame

The Buck Pride Group and Pine River Area Schools proudly announces the 2020 Pine River High School Hall of Fame honorees. We had a terrific response with so many great candidates and applications, but in the end The Buck Pride Group chose five individuals and one team for our fifth induction ceremony: Henry and Holly Schlusler, Mark Nixon, Patricia “Patt” Cooper, Dr. Lia (Jones) Palomino, Max Dean, and the 1991 Varsity Softball team.
On Friday night, February 7, 2020, Pine River High School will host Manton for a home junior varsity/varsity double-header basketball game. PRAS thanks the Rangers for helping with this special night.
All community members, former HOF inductees, friends, and family are encouraged to be a part of our February 7 induction ceremony.
Schedule for February 7, 2020:
5:30 p.m. There will be reserved seating in the gym and a room set aside for the inductees.
6:00 p.m. The boys junior varsity basketball game begins. Pine River vs. Manton.
Between Games Inductees announced and honored.
7:45 p.m. Approximately. Boys varsity basketball. Pine River vs. Manton.
Following the induction ceremony, The Buck Pride Group and the Pine River Area Schools will host a reception for the inductees, their families, and close friends.
Kim Miller, Buck Pride Group president stated, “As always we are excited to be part of honoring these great folks! We believe this group exemplifies the kind of quality students, student-athletes, and professionals that are associated with the Pine River Area Schools.”
“Pine River is so happy to have the opportunity to honor alum and former faculty,” said superintendent Matt Lukshaitis. “Having the ability to induct such great contributors to Pine River and our American society as a whole sets a great example for our current students and community. We put in a concerted effort to make good things happen here and this is wonderful way to thank the folks who make Pine River Area Schools such a proud district.”
